Pairing methods

These are the algorithms that power our matching. The descriptions below leave a lot of complexity out and we aim to provide a general understanding here.

Our algorithm has been carefully designed and have a level of complexity under the hood.

There are a great many functions designed to handle edge cases and give a result from mathematical computations of all possible matches, and all possible combinations of those matches.

Best with Best

This methodology is self explanatory. This is the fundamental algorithm that is best used when first seeding a farm. It has the highest probability to make printers by pairing the best with the best match of highest gene score. This will establish a strong basis for your gene pool as you are expanding the farm.

Best Average

This methodology is used to spread the quality genes you created with the Best/Best algorithm. The idea is that now that you have a few printers, instead of breeding them together this method will find matches that have the highest probability of purifying Axies in your farm so that you have a strong left skewed bell curve for farm gene purity therefore creating longevity for your Axie investment. An intensity of 1 will be very close to best with best, while a score of 5-10 will be more like highest scored matches of best with average or worst genetic scored Axies.
